Please feel to add your own "fan art" to this as I'm sure folk will have ideas at least as good as ours, also all feedback welcome.

I have created a universal QR code using the rather magical One link or QR code to apps on App Store and Google Play service, which I will also include here for people to use if they so desire.

My first attempt at a simple way to help spread the word of ChargeBump is in the situation it's most likely to be used and appreciated... when you're parked up at a charger. It's a simple design with the above mentioned QR code and a bit of guiding text to explain what it's all about.

    A4 (double A5) flyer: https://www.dropbox.com/s/29gi12lx1uwpya5/chargebump-a4-1.pdf?dl=1

    Here's a lovely illustrative photo. ;)

If anyone has views on what would be nice and obvious but not too intrusive for your own purposes do let me know.

    Thanks!

One for the slow charge port on the LEAF perhaps ? :)
Since it will be closed when on a rapid.

How about a hotel style door hanger to put on the machine?

Just downloaded and tested with @ScottHelme
I've an Xperia S android which was on vibrate only.
Got the notification but no vibrate.
    Known issue?

Love the app though. Will be printing out a "tax disk" later today.

Can you post that in here too please: ChargeBump Android 1.0.0 questions and troubleshooting it wasn't a known issue, but it's shaping up that way.

If you guys are bored later can you try it again with the sound on, and just make sure that's at least working. Didn't get reports of this in beta, but LOTS more devices running it know.

As of Sunday there were 200 installs across the Android and iOS. I'm pleased with that for what I expected would be a very slow start, very niche product.

Nice app, I like it! Will get something sorted out with a sticker for the window, though I will probably have a laminated one I can just place on the dash or something. I was really happy when I could finally get rid of my tax disc! ;-)

I use my tax disc holder (Nissan one, with the emergency rescue number on the inside) to keep my RFID cards in. Have printed out the Chargebump notice to cover them up at the front ;-)

@Paul have you tried approaching Ecotricity to see if they want to partner with ChargeBump and put stickers on their chargers?

(Or we could go guerilla-style and put stickers on them ourselves...)

Not spoken to anyone yet, really don't have the resources to do all I'd like.

I'd like things to grow organically but at the same time the more people using the app, particularly at fast chargers like the @Ecotricity electric highway the better for everyone. :)

Better to ask permission, they have been good the EV community and we dont want to do anything to change their perceptions that we are good people :)

Surely @Ecotricity would jump at this? It improves the efficiency of their chargers?

Could make up a small A6 flyer with this printed on it for putting under the wipers of cars using rapids, including the text along the lines of:-
If you had ChargeBump I could have asked how long you were expecting to be.

I can't access the link, I don't have permission, is it not meant to be for public consumption?

Gonville's link was in the Beta testing forum, so not public, sorry.

Basically me saying why QR codes generally suck, because they do. :D

    Basically this: WTF QR CODES

Best thing about QR codes is that you can embed links to "interesting" sites without it being obvious especially via a URL shortening service.
The main problem with that is no one will ever use it :)
