The Optima PHEV has CO2 of 37g/km... What stats are you referring to?

Ah I see, our pricing hasn't updated so I have the regular one at 110 g/km

That would be the diesel then. If a PHEV had CO2 of 110g/km, they'd be doing something very very wrong.

    The seats don't fold?

Damn it, strike that one from my list.

Haha, I know I read it and was massively confused. It was like they hadn't even tried to keep the emissions low but thanks for enlightening me on that! (y)

Don't know if this thread is of interest to people still, but if you were looking at an Optima PHEV as a Company Car you can get well below £30k from Ringways in Doncaster.

Collected Optimus Phev on Monday. Best journey so far 140 miles at 72.9mpg, starting with full battery and arriving with zero miles EV range. Love the car - lots of nifty features, including wireless charging! (Yes really, but for a mobile phone :D )

Shorter runs today, 60 miles each way, charged before each run. trip showed "99.9mpg", but real mpg would have been maybe 130mpg(?) plus about 16kWh. EV range shows 31@100% and 0@14%, after which it runs in HEV mode.

So this week...140mile run from fuel fill, with only 10 miles battery range, gave 54 mpg, running at 70mph. This is my 'lowest' mpg, basically petrol only. Currently 73 overall, doing mostly 100-300 mile days.

Kia Optima Estate PHEV announced, and I hope I can get one!
    Kia Media Site
    • New Plug-in Hybrid model on sale across Europe from Q3 2017
    • High-capacity batteries and 2.0-litre GDI engine
    • Versatile 440-litre cargo space with 40:20:40 split-fold rear seats
    • Latest infotainment system features Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™
    • Advanced energy-saving measures maximise EV range and efficiency
    • High-strength bodyshell and active safety assistance technologies
    • Smooth ride and responsive handling
Also, it has a larger battery, 11.26 kWh and should do the 38 miles they claim. Sounds like the HVAC system is like the Soul EV and can run without the ICE.
